Member fields

Define custom profile questions, control editability, archive fields, share completion links, and review responses.

Add a member field definition

  1. Open the header actions menu and choose Add field.
  2. Enter Slug, Label, and Description.
  3. Choose a Field typeTEXT, TEXTAREA, BOOLEAN, or SELECT.
  4. For SELECT, enter Options (one per line).
  5. Set Sort order, Members can edit this field, and Required for members as needed.
  6. Choose Create.

Edit field options and flags

  1. On Member fields, open Edit on a row (or open the field label).
  2. Update Label, Description, Options, Sort order, or the member-editable and required flags.
  3. Choose Save.

Slug values stay fixed after creation — create a new field if you need a different slug.

Archive or restore a field

  1. Open Edit member field for the definition.
  2. Open the top-right actions menu and choose Archive. Confirm in the dialog to hide the field from member forms without deleting stored answers.
  3. Open the same menu and choose Restore when the question should appear on Other info again.

Archived fields remain visible in the admin list with status Archived.

  1. On Member fields, choose Preview link on a row to open Other info as a member would see it.
  2. On Edit member field, choose Copy completion link to copy a URL with ?field= and #field- anchors.
  3. Send the link to a member who still owes one answer.

Members can also open Other info from Account without a direct link.

Review member responses

  1. Open Players and choose a member.
  2. On Profile, read Other info for a summary of their answers.
  3. Choose Edit other info to enter or correct values on their behalf.
  4. For your own record, members edit responses on AccountOther info.

The built-in Board email address field is admin-only. For Board members, this email is shown in the Board section of the directory; if that Board member is also a personnel manager or librarian, that staff-contact row uses it too. If it is empty, those rows fall back to the member’s personal email. It does not appear on the member’s Other info page.

The built-in Board role field is also admin-only. Record a short title such as President, Treasurer, or Secretary; the Directory shows it in parentheses after the member’s name in the Board group only. It does not appear on the member’s Other info page.

The footer on Member fields links to Other info for the signed-in member view.
